Basil herb - 50g Latin name: Herba basilici, Herba Ocimum basilicum L. (Labiatae) Helps for: stomach pain and intestinal cramps, fatigue and nervous depression. It has analgesic, anti-inflammatory, diaphoretic action. Also used for shortness of breath, cold, especially influenza, nausea, indigestion, insomnia, migraine, exhaustion. The essential oil is used in dentistry as an antiseptic and antimicrobial. Externally, it is used as a gargle for sore gums, acne and skin infections.
Use internal: for 3 cups of tea a day. External for gargle or in the form of compress. Preparation: 2 teaspoons of the herb are flooded with 1/4 liters of boiling water, steeped for 10 minutes. Externally, use the same infusion. Note: High doses act highly irritating!
