Horsetail herb - 50g Latin name: Herba Equiseti arvense L. (Equisetaceae) Utility at: chronic kidney disease, heart failure, edema, bleeding ulcers, hemorrhoids, gout. Has anti-inflammatory, diuretic, astringent, regenerative and remineralizes action. Strengthens the walls (their elasticity) of blood vessels. It also helps in prostate disease in cystitis and inflammation of the urinary tract, pulmonary inflammation as supporting clinical treatment tool. Externally applied as decoction in difficult to heal wounds, gargle for sore throats and mouth wash for nosebleeds. Use: Drink 120 ml. after meals, 3 times a day. Externally applied as poultices of crushed fresh stalks. Preparation: internal: 2 tablespoons of the herb boiled in 1/2 l. of water 10 min. Drink in sips. Externally as a decoction: 1 tablespoon boiled in 1/4 l. of water.
