Purpose:

Respiratory system: helps treat coughs due to the high content of mucilage in the root of the herb, which has a softening and protective effect on the mucous membranes. It quickly relieves irritation in dry coughs. At the same time, it has an anti-inflammatory effect, which helps reduce swelling of the lymph nodes and speeds up the healing process. 

Dry mouth: the herb relieves the feeling of dryness by moisturizing and protecting the mucous membranes. When levels are reduced, often as a result of using antihistamines, blood pressure medications, neurological problems, and autoimmune diseases, problems such as increased tooth decay, gum disease, and dental infections can occur. It can be safely used by people with chronically low levels of salivation.

Stomach problems: it helps restore the intestinal mucosa in some digestive disorders by forming a protective layer, again thanks to its mucous substances. It stimulates the function of epithelial cells and aids in the restoration of the mucosa. It is used for various problems such as diarrhea, stomach ulcers, constipation, and leaky gut syndrome. The herb is also useful for preventing heartburn, as the mucilage remains stable in the body throughout the digestive system until it reaches the large intestine. 

Skin problems: the herb has anti-inflammatory properties, which makes it suitable for eczema, redness, abrasions, burns, grazes, etc. On the other hand, its antibacterial activity can be useful in healing wounds. Marsh mallow root can be used to improve the appearance of skin that has been exposed to ultraviolet rays, as it reduces damage to skin cells.
