Latin name: Folium Plantaginis majoris (Plantaginaceae) Description: Perennial herbaceous plant with short, thick rhizome. Stem glabrous up to 30cm. Leaves broadly linear, with parallel veins, flowers small, gray-greenish. It blooms in June-October.
Application: Promotes the normal functioning of the intestinal flora, bile secretion and degestion. Broad- leaved plantain is suitable for supporting the respiratory system.
Method of preparation: 1 tablespoon of leaves is boiled with 250ml of boiling water for 10 minutes, filtered, drunk in sips for 1 hour (dose for one day).
